Job Title: Experienced Level Freelance Designer

Desert Rose Studio is a marketing and design agency seeking an experienced level freelance designer to bring their creative design skills to the table. If you have a flair for life and love what you do let’s chat. 

You will be responsible for creating compelling, effective designs for our clients across a variety of digital platforms. You will need to have a strong understanding of EDM platforms and systems plus scheduling. You will also need to know Shopify and other website platforms, be across all social media tools including Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Tik Tok, and it would be a total bonus if you are great at social media advertising.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop effective and visually appealing marketing materials for our clients
• Develop and execute effective marketing campaigns across social media platforms.
• Maintain a deep understanding of current design trends, marketing techniques, and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with our team to ensure a cohesive and effective marketing strategy.
• Create and maintain design standards for all of our clients.
• Ensure that all marketing materials meet brand and design standards.
• Have a good understanding of budgets and billable hours. 
• Plan, manage and direct photoshoots with third parties. Have an understanding of styling and some photography skills. 
• Understand time management skills to consistently deliver high quality work. 
• Contribute and brainstorm all aspects of Desert Rose Studio as a brand. 

Requirements:

• At least 3-5 years experience as a graphic designer.
• A strong understanding of EDM platforms and systems, scheduling, Shopify and other website platforms, across all social media tools including Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Tik Tok, and social media advertising.
• Proficiency in design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator. 
• Understanding of AI tools and techniques.
• Strong creative design skills that pair with Desert Rose Studio, but also has their own flair and can add value to the brand.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. 
• Ability to work autonomously, with a high level of initiative.
• Portfolio of relevant work demonstrating expertise in the field.

• Desire to learn new techniques and platforms, including AI. 

This freelance position has the potential to turn into a permanent/part-time or full time role over time, depending on the right candidate. Ideally, the new team member would be located on the Sunshine Coast but can work remotely if it is the right candidate. There will be a set amount of hours per week for work. This will be guided by the time and quality of work that’s produced. Ideally it will be three to four days a week.
